Levitra 20mg Film-Coated Tablets
What is it?
Levipra is a medicine that contains the active substance vortenafil. It is available as round, orange film-coated tablets (5, 10 and 20 mg) and round, white orodosable tablets (10 mg). Levitra 20mg are pills that dissolve in the mouth.
What is it used for?
Levirta is used to treat adult males (18 years of age or older), erectile dysfunction (sometimes called impotence), when they cannot have a hard enough penis (erection) for satisfactory sexual activity Or you can keep it. For levipra to be effective, sexual stimulation is required.
How is it used?
The recommended dose of Levitra 20mg, taken as one or two film-coated tablets approximately 25 to 60 minutes before sexual activity or approximately 60 minutes before sexual activity.
The maximum recommended dosing frequency is one tablet or orrodisive tablet per day.
How does it work?
Leviltra, the active ingredient of vardenafil, belongs to a group of drugs called phosphodières type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase enzyme that breaks down a substance commonly known as cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This allows blood to flow into the nigma, which leads to erection. By blocking the breakdown of cGMP, Levigra restores erectile function. Sexual stimulation is still necessary to produce an erection.
How has it been studied?
Levipra pills were compared to placebo (a dummy treatment) in four main studies, which included a total of 2,331 men with erectile dysfunction aged 20 to 43 years. One of these studies was performed in diabetic men and another in men who had their prostate gland removed.
In all studies, the main measure of effectiveness was the ability to obtain and maintain erections. The studies lasted for 12 weeks.
What benefits has it shown during the studies?
Levipra Pills and Orodispersive pills were significantly more effective than placebo for all measures in all studies.
What is the risk associated?
The most common side effect (seen in more than 1 in 10 patients) with Levira is headache. For a complete list of all side effects reported with levipra, see the package sheet.It should not be used when there is sexual activity, such as in men with severe heart disease.
Because levipra has not been studied in patients with severe liver or kidney disease, patients who have hypotension (low blood pressure) or patients who have had a stroke or heart attack within the last six months should not use it. Levitra 20mg should not be taken with ketoconazole and itconazole (used to treat fungal infections) in men older than 75 years of age or with ritonavir or indinavir (used to treat HIV infection).
